The Marching Band had another big win at the Zumbrota Parade on Saturday, June 19. The Marching Wolves won the AA division of the parade with a 73.1. The band defeated longtime marching powerhouse Alexandria, and also captured the caption awards for outstanding winds and outstanding colorguard. “Alexandria has a tremendous band program,” band director Andrew Nelson said. “They have a big band, with a great staff...they always put on a great show. Usually they are in the class above us, but the parade officials asked us if we would bump up a class to even out the bands; and we agreed. Our kids had a terrific show...I’m really proud that we can compete with a program at the level of Alex.”
