by Dawn Slade

A three car accident sent six people to the hospital on Saturday, Dec. 12.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Gregory Syring, 56, of Superior Wis., was southbound on Mille Lacs County Road 7 and did not stop at the stop sign at Highway 95.

Syring’s 2008 Dodge then hit a vehicle driven by Tina Campbell, 18, of Becker who was traveling westbound on Highway 95.

Campbell’s 1990 Dodge Dynasty then struck a third vehicle, a 2005 Chevrolet Impala, in the eastbound lane of Highway 95, driven by Edward Ullman, 36, of Grand Portage.

The drivers and passengers, which included Earl Grey, 53, of South Range, Wis. (in Syring’s vehicle), and Melissa Hackett, 39, and Benjamin Hackett, 10, both of Otsego (in Ullman’s vehicle) were all taken to area hospitals with non life-threatening injuries.

Syring was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. Grey was taken to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. Campbell and the Hacketts were taken to Fairview Medical Center in Princeton. And Ullman was taken to St. Cloud Hospital.

All three vehicles suffered severe damage.
