Pvt. Jake Schramm Army National Guard Pvt. Jake A. Schramm has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Knox, Ky. During the nine-week training period, the trainee received instruction in drill and ceremony, weapons, rifle marksmanship and bayonet training, chemical warfare, field training and tactical exercises, armed and unarmed combat, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, traditions, and core values.  Schramm is the son of Duane A. Schramm of Milaca, and Melissa F. Fetters of Warren Drive, Deerwood, Minn. ******** Brian Cronin Carl Cronin of Milaca will be among the University of St. Thomas student musicians performing at the 22nd annual St. Thomas Christma concerts Sunday, Dec. 6, at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis.Performances are at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.”Tis Love That’s Born Tonight” i the theme for the evening. ******** Airman Geoff George Air Force Airman Geoff M. George graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. George is the son of Alan George of Lonsdale, Minn., and Julie Bergh of Milaca. He is a 2009 graduate of Milaca High School. ******** Airman Zackery Heinen Air Force Airman Zackery R. Heinen graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. He is the son of Lisa Heinen of Milaca. Heinen is a 2008 graduate of Princeton High School. ******** Pfc. Lisa Lester Army Pfc. Lisa J. Lester has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises. She is the daughter of Lana Stenberg of Milaca. Lester is a 1992 graduate of Milaca High School.  ******** Airman Tori Bauer Air Force Airman Tori L. Bauer graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. She is the daughter of Lorraine Akemann of Milaca, and sister of Robert Mrozik of Elk River. ******** Ashley Kranz Ashley Kranz, a sophomore from Milaca, is a member of the Hobson Union Programming Board at Bemidji State University. The board includes volunteer students who are in charge of scheduling events and activities at Bemidji State. Those events include concerts, homecoming activities, movies, lectures and various performers. ********
