Times staff earns 11 awards |
The Mille Lacs County Times staff earned 11 awards at the ECM Publishers, Inc. shareholders annual meeting Monday, Nov. 16 at Majestic Oaks in Ham Lake. The Times took first place for best coverage of local business and economic news, first place for best local news story (Dawn Slade), first place for best columnist (Slade), second place for best sports reporting (Gary Larson), second place for best headline writing, second place for best columnist (Luther Dorr), second place for best photographer’s portfolio (Slade), second place for best sports columnist (Larson), second place for best web site (Myra Luedke), second place for general advertising excellence, and second place for best 1/4 to 1/2 page color ad (Brigitte Larsen and Melissa Marudas).
