Mora tipped Milaca 27-21 in overtime in the first round of the Section 7AAA Football Playoff Tuesday night at Mora.
Trailing 21-7 at halftime, Milaca scored a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter to tie the game 21-21 and eventually send it into overtime.
Milaca had first possession in overtime and didn’t score. Dylan Graves then scored on a 10-yard run on Mora’s first play in overtime.
The Wolves’ touchdowns were scored on a 42-yard pass from senior quarterback Travis Hanenburg to senior end Tyler Norrgard, a 26-yard run by sophomore back Brandon Kiel and a five-yard run by junior back Sam Johnson.
Milaca finished with a 3-6 record.
In other Section 7AAA first-round games Tuesday, Greenway-Nashwauk-Keewatin stopped Two Harbors 21-6, Pine City handled Aitkin 22-6 and Virginia stopped Proctor 32-13.
Mora, which topped Milaca 51-21 Oct. 14, will host G-N-K Saturday at 2 p.m.
Pine City will host Virginia Saturday, also at 2.
The title game is Friday, Nov. 6, at the University of Minnesota-Duluth at 6 p.m.
