Theresa Florence (Vegter) Los

 

Theresa Los was born on January 22, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois to John and Fannie (Statema) Vegter. She died peacefully in her home on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, after a long battle with ovarian cancer.

Theresa was an example of Christian love and faithfulness and was ready to meet her Savior. Theresa grew up with her brothers and sister in Illinois, California and Wisconsin. She worked at Borgs Clock Works in Delevan, Wisconsin and was the fastest on the assembly line. Theresa met Wesley Los at Delevan Christian Reformed Church and they started dating. They were married on August 24, 1951. Theresa and Wesley farmed in Elkhorn, Delevan, McFarland and Darien, Wisconsin before moving to Minnesota to farm just north of Princeton in 1972. Theresa worked many years at Holiday Grocery Store in Princeton where she managed the bakery and deli. Theresa and Wesley were blessed with seven children, 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Theresa will be greatly missed by husband, Wesley; her children, Bradley, Harvey (Barb), Darlene Mouw (Dean), Russell, Louis (Jen Boyer), Marilyn Lemke (Keith) and Tami Rohweder (Alan Olson); her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren and many other close friends and family. She is also survived by her brothers, John Vegter (Joyce), Frank Vegter (Donna), Ron Vegter (Darlene) and her sister Florence Gerharz (John).

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, John and Fannie Vegter; her brothers, Bill, Pete, Hank, Harry and her sister, Theresa.

Celebration of her life will be Friday, September 19, 2014, at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Princeton.
