After 117 years First National Bank of Milaca is still going strong, and they want to prove it.
They hope to do so with a Birthday Bash and Cash Celebration on Friday, Aug. 22. Starting at 5:30 p.m. will be an hour for the kids as they will have a ‘Kids Club’ Dance with Allyson.
It is a new addition to the annual event, and ‘Kids Club’ members will receive a free hot dog and beverage.
“We feel like kids should get established with the bank early, and if we can have some fun doing it, that’s perfect,” said Stephanie Halstead, who is running the event.
Following that a street dance will take place in front of the Milaca office of First National from 7-11 p.m. Music will be provided by the band Whiskey Tango. There will be concessions and a cash prize drawing.
Halstead said the event is open to all community members, not just adults or bank members and she encourages all to come out.
“It’s just good, clean family fun,” Halstead said. “We just feel like we just need to give something back to this community that supports us.”
Added Halstead: “If it weren’t for the community, we wouldn’t be here, so we feel like we need to give back a little.”
FNB of Milaca serves the communities of Milaca, Isle and Gilman.
