The Initiative Foundation and the Milaca Area Community Team are inviting Central Minnesota leaders to attend a Community Field Day.
The April 26 event is designed to bring leaders together to share ideas in community and economic development and to tour projects in the Milaca area. These include the downtown business area, trail work within the city, park development, a local arts organization, a band shell renovation project, a new disc golf course and industrial park enhancements.
Milaca, with a population of about 3,000, is a participant in the Initiative Foundation’s Healthy Communities Partnership program.
“Our goal is to cross-pollinate ideas and learn from each other,” said Dan Frank, senior program manager for Community and Economic Development. “We’re hoping that Milaca’s successes and challenges will inspire those conversations and relationships.”
The free event, which includes a complimentary lunch, tours, and educational presentations, starts at City Hall and is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 26. To register, or for more information, contact Michelle Kiley at firstname.lastname@example.org or (320) 632-2048.
