Warren Wiley, age 91, of Foley, died Monday, March 31, 2014 at Elim Home, Milaca.
Funeral services held 11:00 AM Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church, Foley with Rev. Tim Wittwer officiating. Burial in the Ronneby Riverside Cemetery with military honors by Foley American Legion Post 298.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and also 1 hour prior to services at the church Thursday. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home.
Warren Wiley was born July 8, 1922 in Maywood Township, Benton County to Hubert and Daisy (Yost) Wiley. He married Erna Thiem on May 5, 1942 in Ronneby. Warren proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He lived most of his life in Maywood Township and a short time in Milaca. Warren farmed and drove bus for Foley school district for over 25 years. He also owned a salvage yard in Foley for many years. He was a life member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Oak Park, a 50 year member of Foley American Legion Post 298, and lifetime member of the MN Deer Hunters Association.
He is survived by his children, Alvina (Wayne) Stauffenecker of Foley, Lloyd (Sharon) Wiley of Foley, Yvonne (Jim) Kiffmeyer of Foley and Richard (Deb) Wiley of Foley; 25 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 10 great great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Erna; daughters, Evelyn Thronson and Dorothy Orton; sisters, Joyce Meyer and Dale Stofflet; brother, Rolland; and infant brother, Lloyd.
