Phyllis Lind

Phyllis Yvonne Lind, age 73, of Foreston, MN, formerly of Princeton, passed away February 21, 2014 in Milaca, MN. Phyllis was born on January 4th, 1941 the daughter of Stephan and Inzella (Young) Kowalsky.
Phyllis married Robert Lind on May 14th, 1960 in Cove, MN. Phyllis spent her time volunteering and helping others. She took part in Operation Christmas Child. She also participated in the Meals on Wheels and helped many by getting them to where they needed to be. She was known for her lead foot and whipping around in her green Grand AM. Phyllis also spent time as a CNA in the Milaca, Princeton, and Cambridge areas. She worked at Langs in Santiago, MN doing boarding care.
Phyllis had a big heart and would do anything for anyone; always putting everyone else first. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart. She spent much time in the kitchen baking and making potato salad and goulash. Then for dessert it was homemade peanut brittle and pulled taffy. Dont forget the homemade pizza on Fridays. She often kept her drawer full of chocolates.
Phyllis was a fan of blue grass, folk Christian and all types of music. She loved the Golden Girls and thrift stores, garage sales, bible studies, wind chimes, pets, and flower gardens. Phyllis will be missed by many.
Phyllis is survived by her loving children; Annette Lind, Mary (Duane) Bonebrake, Robert (Alvia Robles) Lind, Roger (Kathy) Lind, Patricia (Dean) Maddox, Tammy Lind, Terry (Linda Los) Lind and Sherry (Mike) Haines; 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; siblings, David (Sharon) Kowalsky, Roger Kowalsky, and Gilbert (Theresa) Kowalsky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lind, infant daughter; granddaughter Rebecca; great granddaughter Haylee Lind; sister Joyce; brothers, Dennis and Gerald; sister-in law Phil Kowalsky.
A Funeral Service for Phyllis will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the New Life Church in Princeton with Pastor Chuck Pruett officiating. Visitation will be held one prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church on Thursday. Interment will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN.
