The Mille Lacs Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) welcomes Todd Kulaf as a new addition to their conservation team with grant money provided through the Minnesota Clean Water Fund and in partnership with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Kulaf has been hired as an agricultural outreach technician.

The objective of the position is to build relationships with Mille Lacs County agricultural producers that will result in implementing conservation practices.

Kulaf grew up in Wausau, Wis. and moved to Saint Cloud in 2006 to pursue an education in environmental studies at Saint Cloud State University. Kulaf graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in 2010 and began his career as the hydrologist intern for the Pope County Soil and Water Conservation District.

Shortly after his time with the Pope SWCD, he was hired to work for the Natural Resource Conservation Service in Pope County. Kulaf worked closely with the farming community, implementing conservation programs and building relationships. He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and canoeing lakes and rivers. He looks forward to meeting and working with the people of Mille Lacs County.
