Miss Minnesota performs to ‘Save the Milaca Band Shell’

Miss MinnesotaThe Rum River Community Foundation and the Save the Milaca Band Shell organization have planned a Night of Music, including performance entertainment and a silent auction planned to raise funds for the band shell renovation project.

The night will feature two stages offering a variety of live music from local and regional acts, as well as a violin performance by Miss Minnesota Rebecca Yeh.

Yeh, who finished fifth in the 2013 Miss America talent competition among 12,000 contestants, will share her violin performance fresh off her welcome home celebration in Bloomington Sunday, Nov. 3.

Brian Salveson, of Williston, N.D., is also a featured performer of the evening, as well as local blend This Side of Heaven.

Members of the foundation will be available to offer more information on the band shell project throughout the evening’s events. Participants will also have the chance to check out sample pavers donors to the project may choose to memorialize a loved one while contributing to the structure’s renovations.

Night of Music will take place from 6 p.m. to late Friday, Nov. 8, at the Phoenix Banquet Center in Milaca.
