Becker trims Milaca

Becker took a 30-7 halftime lead, then outscored Milaca 19-0 in the second half as it handled the Wolves 49-9 in a Granite Ridge Conference football game Friday night at Becker.

Milaca scored its touchdown in the second quarter on a five-yard pass from Nathan Hass to Nic Wolbert, who then kicked the extra point.

Hass completed 13 of 30 passes for 80 yards while Mike Garber completed four of 10 passes for 46 yards. C.J. Schwintteck rushed for 108 yards to lead Becker, which boosted it GRC record to 5-0 and its overall mark to 5-1.

In other GRC games Friday, Little Falls defeated Foley 20-12 at Foley, Albany stopped Mora 59-0 at Mora and St. Cloud Cathedral trimmed Zimmerman 22-6 at Zimmerman.

Milaca, 1-4 in conference play and 1-5 overall, hosts Zimmerman Friday night, Oct. 11, at 7 p,m. It will be the Wolves’ homecoming.
