Foley piled up 395 points to retain its title at the Milaca Girls Swimming and Diving Invitational Saturday.
Becker placed second at 284, Milaca was third with 280 points, Proctor-Hermantown was fourth at 230 and Duluth Denfeld was fifth with 142 points.
“We did a good job throughout the meet, just falling behind Becker in the final event to drop to third place,” said Milaca Co-Coach Joe Wenner. “Foley’s depth was hard for the other four teams to overcome.
“We were very pleased with the overall showing of our swimmers and divers.”
Milaca’s divers posted a 1-2-3 finish as BryAnna Paulson placed first with a score of 325.75, Sarah Forker was second with a score of 299.50 and Allison Rogers was third with a score of 285.75.
The Wolves also scored well in the 50-yard freestyle where Forker placed first in 26.88 seconds, Tara Airhart was second in 27.27 and Rachel Airhart was fifth in 27.74.
Other top performances by the Wolves included:
-The team of Leah Crain, Tara Airhart, Forker and Ashley Cassens placing fourth in the 200-yard medley relay in 2:11.32.
Becker was first in 2:06.24.
-Chloe Hendrickson placing fifth in the 200 individual medley in 2:41.05. Vanessa Midas of Foley was first in 2:28.68.
-Rachel Airhart placing fifth in the 100 freestyle in 1:01.59. Kasey Milstroh of Foley was first in 55.02, a meet and pool record.
-Cassens, Rachel Airhart, Tara Airhart and Forker placing second in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:49.57.
Foley was first in 1:47.38.
-Tara Airhart notching fourth place in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:19.79.
Courtney Starry of Becker was first in 1:14.34.
-Hannah Johnson, Cassens, Hendrickson and Rachel Airhart placing fourth in the 400 freestyle relay in 4:12.70.
Foley placed first in 4:00.48.
Foley’s Milstroh also set a meet and pool record in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:00.80.
Megan Mensinger of Proctor-Hermantown set a meet record in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:41.51.
Milaca hosts rival Foley Thursday, Oct. 3, at 6.
