Dozens Run For Their Lives in half-marathon

Participants in the Pearl Crisis Center’s fourth annual Run for Their Lives 5K walk/run and half-marathon break away from the starting line Saturday morning and head east out of Milaca.

Sixty-eight runners/walkers took part in the event, with funds going to benefit survivors of domestic violence.

Moving out in front right away were Erich Richter (No. 1) of Mora, who won the men’s 5K race in 22:08, and Kim Stassen (No. 41) of Milaca, who won the women’s 5K in 22:48. Travis Bukosky of Princeton won the men’s half-marathon in 1:50.29 and Jaime Grant of Zimmerman won the women’s half-marathon in 1:51.13.
