Highway 23 closing at Bock Monday

Bock DetourTraffic over the Bogus Brook will come to a halt on a second area highway come Monday.

Highway 23 motorists will be detoured around Bock for about six weeks while the Minnesota Department of Transportation replaces a box culvert.

County Road 12 is currently closed while the bridge over Bogus Brook is being replaced.

Traffic will be rerouted through the Bock area, which will result in a 5-mile detour, according to MnDOT spokesperson J.P. Gillach.

A signed detour will direct motorists along 90th Avenue, 190th Street and 60th Avenue.

Highway 23 will be impassable just east of Bock at Bogus Brook. Downtown Bock and its businesses will remain accessible, Gillach said.

All lanes of Highway 23 near Bock are scheduled to reopen by mid-October.
