Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 18 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell for Willard F. Malisheske, age 78, who passed away Saturday at Country Manor Campus. Rev. Timothy Baltes will officiate and burial will be at the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Sartell. Friends and Relatives may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services at the church. Parish Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids.
Willard was born on February 21, 1935 in St. Cloud to Frank and Christina (O’Konek). He worked two seasons sailing the great lakes on ore boats. Willy was married to Alta Fetters on June 6, 1957 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Milaca. He worked at Champion Paper Mill in Sartell for 29 years retiring in 1986 due to health issues. Willy enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and frequent trips to the north shore.
Survivors include his wife, Alta of Sartell; children, Ernest (Marcia) of St. Joseph, Gene (fiancé Linda Bueckers) of St. Cloud, Louise (Robert) Zwilling of St. Cloud, Joel (Joni) of Rice, Linette (Troy) Stephenson of Sauk Rapids, and Jason (Bethany) of Upsala; 8 grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Daniel, Jim, Severin, Dorothy Katka, and Lorraine Frerich.
