Luella Muller, 91 year old resident of Onamia, MN passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013 at the Mille Lacs Long Term Care Center in Onamia.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at theWahkon Presbyterian Church in Wahkon, MN. Visitation with friends and family will be 1 hour prior to services at the church.
Arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel of Onamia.
Luella Marie Muller was born on October 4, 1921 in Rushmore, Minnesota to Bert and Jessie (Rohwer) Royer. She attended school and grew up at Rushmore and graduated from Adrian High School. On July 5, 1942 she married Jake A. Muller in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
They started farming in 1945 and lived a number of places in Minnesota while raising their 5 children. They farmed at Foreston, Minnesota for 34 years before moving to Onamia, Minnesota in 1996.
She is survived by her son, Marvin Muller of Pine Center, MN; and daughter, Katharine Sandstrom of Hibbing, MN; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Edna (Merritt) Bauer of California; brothers, Raymond (Phillis) Royer of California, Delbert (Mary) Royer of South Carolina; sister-in-law, Alice Magnus of Slayton, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Luella is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jake; sons, Dale in 1970, Bernard in 2003; daughter, Marjorie in 2001.
