TADA advocates at state capitol

TADA capitolEach year Pearl Crisis Center takes their Teens Against Dating Abuse (TADA) group to Stop Violence Against Women Action Day at the Minnesota Capitol.

TADA members from Princeton, Milaca, and Onamia schools visited the Capitol Tuesday, March 12, as well as some members from the home school community.

The group attended a rally where multiple representatives from domestic violence prevention programs around the state spoke about the importance of community awareness and prevention. TADA members also viewed the Clothesline Project Display.

The Clothesline Project is a collection of t-shirts made by different groups and organizations to honor those who have lost their lives in the last year as a result of domestic violence. This year the Onamia TADA members made a t-shirt for the display.
