Three critically injured in crash
Three adults and one child are in critical condition after a one-vehicle crash last Saturday afternoon, according to Sheriff Brent Lindgren.
At approximately 3:55 p.m. Saturday, March 9, the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Communications Center received an emergency call of a single motor vehicle crash involving multiple occupants on 250th Street west of U.S. Highway 169 on the Page and Dailey Township border.
Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s deputies had been near the scene dealing with another motor vehicle crash and were able to respond within a few minutes.
Upon their arrival, deputies observed a Chevy Suburban had crashed head on into the Rum River bridge rail. The occupants were extricated from the vehicle by Milaca and Onamia Fire Departments. The driver was identified at the scene as Travis Moshier, 36 years old of rural Onamia. His passengers were also identified as Janell Taylor, 23 years old of rural Milaca, and her 1 year old daughter.
All occupants were transported to the Fairview Hospital of Princeton. Moshier and Taylor were later transferred to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, and the child was transferred to University Children’s Hospital. All people were listed in critical condition Monday afternoon.
The accident is currently under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol and the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office and once completed will be forwarded to the Mille Lacs County Attorney’s Office for criminal review.
