Senior forward Micah Andrews scored 29 points and had 15 rebounds but the Faith Christian School boys basketball team lost 80-58 to Christian Life School last Friday at Farmington.
The Saints trailed 47-23 at halftime despite 17 points and 10 rebounds from Andrews.
“Christian Life’s pressure defense plagued us in the first half,” said FCS Coach Don Andrews. “We had 13 turnovers and they were able to score many easy layups.
“We were able to cut the margin to 16 points but Christian Life’s depth allowed it to keep coming back with fresh players. Our depleted lineup had just six players available.”
Senior guard Paul Selin added 14 points, eight rebounds and a season-high nine assists.
Guard Jordan Marcell, the leading scorer in the Christian Athletic League, led Christian Life with 28 points.
Faith Christian dropped to a 3-16 record. The Saints are at Rochester Area Home School Friday night at 7:30.
It’s parents night for the Saints when they host Hope Christian Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 6:45.
