Russell Duane French, 74, of Princeton, passed away on Thursday, December 27th, 2012 at his home in Princeton. Russell Duane French was born on October 15, 1938 in Bloomington, MN, the son of Archie and Lillian (Clemmer) French. Russell grew up in Bloomington, MN and
graduated from Bloomington High School in 1957. On June 21st, 1969 he married Cheryl Ann Forsman. Together they had two children, Sharlene May and Jason Lee. After 30 years of marriage Cheryl preceded Russell in death on June 27, 1999. He worked for 20 years for the Mille Lacs County Courthouse as a maintenance manager. Russell loved to ride motorcycle, go fishing and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was also passionate about cars from the 1950’s era.
Russell is survived by his daughter, Sharlene (Daniel) French-Amezquita; son, Jason (Lisa) French; grandchildren, Rebecca, Loretta, Cassandra, Andrew, Ethan and Mariana and sister, Beverly Hendrickson. Many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 30 years, Cheryl and his parents Archie and Lillian French.
A memorial service was held at 5:00 p.m. on January 2nd, 2013 at the God’s Greater Glory Parish, Good Shepherd Chapel in Long Siding, MN. A memorial gathering was held two hours prior to the service at the church. Arrangements were entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Princeton.
