Bock man faces fourth DWI charge

A Bock man who was pulled over for speeding on Highway 47 near Isle on Saturday, Aug. 25, will face his fourth DWI charge.

Michael Andrew Chichura, 44, submitted to a preliminary breath test with a result of .230, more than twice the legal limit, but refused to take a urine or blood test later. Chichura’s license was revoked at the time of this incident. Police also learned that Chichura had a domestic abuse no-contact order preventing him from having contact with the registered owner of the vehicle he was driving.

Chichura has been charged with violating a no contact order, second degree DWI-refusal to submit to chemical test, third degree DWI, and driving after revocation. He faces more than seven years in jail and up to $17,000 in fines. Chichura has prior DWI convictions from 2001, 2003 and 2009, as well as domestic assault convictions from 2006 and 2012.
