Stones Throw was busy last weekend
Stones Throw Golf Course was busy last weekend as tournaments took center stage.
The Big Cup Rally for the Cure® Tournament was held Saturday and followed by the Parent/Child Tournament Sunday.
The team of Randy Siemers, Kirk Swenson and Joel Patnode won low gross honors with a score of 54. Nic Fuchs, Zach Fuchs and Steve Fuchs tied for second place with a 56 total.
Also earning prizes were the 10th-place team of Josh Nelson, Jake Ourada and Mike Solum and the 18th-place team of Mike Larsen, Larry Kuperus and Steve Hubers. There were 27 teams in the tourney.
Marty Nelson provided one of the highlights with a hole-in-one. He received a U-Pro GPS device.

-Longest drive, women – Wendy Hoeck.
-Longest putt, men – Todd Norgart.
-Closet to the pin, men – Marty Nelson.
The tournament raised nearly $2,000 for Rally for the Cure®.
Todd and Trace Hasz won low gross honors in the Parent/Child Tournament as they combined for a 64. Heather Hoeck and Steve Fuchs placed second at 66.
Brett and Ted Kromy won low net honors at 65.

-Longest drive (No. 18), 12-and-under – Jack Larson.
-Longest put (No. 18), adults – Aaron Larsen.
-Longest putt (No. 13), kids – Blake Kiel.
-Closest to the pin (No. 12) adults – Mike Sanford.
-Closest to the pin (No. 7), kids – Trace Hasz.
-Low putts – Ted and Brett Kromy and Sharon Nelson and Rachelle Nelson.
