Anyone interested in completing a term on the Milaca School Board that runs through December has until March 7 to apply.
The board decided at its Feb. 21 meeting that it would take applications by that date and then make an appointment at the March 20 meeting.
The term is open because of the resignation, effective in January, of board chair Pat Nelson.
Anyone interested in the position is asked to submit a letter of interest, a resumé, and a 500-word statement about why they want to serve.
A three-person committee of board members will go through the applications, interview the person or people that it chooses, and bring a name or names to the March 20 meeting.
That position on the board will be up for election in November.
An ad in this week’s edition of the Times details the process.
