Fatal one car accident Sunday
The Kanabec County Sheriff's Office, the Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol responded to the accident around 1:30 a.m. The accident occurred at 150th Avenue in South Fork Township (near Thomas Sno Sports). Timothy Walter Hanson, 40, of South Fork Township, was pronounced dead at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale at 9:30 a.m. that morning. Four passengers were in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Two were transported to Kanabec Hospital and were later released. The other two were uninjured. According to the press release from the Kanabec County Sheriff's Office, speed and alcohol appear to be contributing factors. No one was wearing a seat belt at the time. Mille Lacs County Times
