Five facing 20 years for cocaine

Five adults were arrested in Onamia by the North Central Drug Task Force for possession of cocaine on Monday, Aug. 21.

The task force was contacted by the Mille Lacs Tribal Police with information about drug activity at a Wabashi Court residence.

Five individuals were at the residence in the kitchen/dining area where the cocaine was located.

The individuals arrested include Amanda Lynn Skinaway, 41, and her daughter Paschen Marie Skinaway, 19, who live at the residence, along with Mickey Star Sam, 36, of Onamia, Anthony Alan Prady, 42, no known address, and Chad Mitchell Pendegayosh, 31, of Garrison.

Officers found 5.5 grams of cocaine in the home, along with miscellaneous paraphernalia associated with using cocaine and manufacturing crack cocaine.

All substances were sent to the BCA for further testing.

Each suspect faces up to 20 years in prison and/or a $250,000 fine for third degree possession of a controlled substance, along with fifth degree possession charges and drug paraphernalia.

Unconditional bail was set for each individual at $30,000 with conditional bail at $15,000.

As of Monday, Aug. 28, Pendegayosh was the only one to post bail, the other four are still in custody. Sam will likely remain in custody until October as she has a prior gross misdemeanor for DWI.
