Auditions set for ŒAnnie¹

The Mille Lacs Community Theatre will be holding auditions for the musical ³Annie,² to be rehearsed throughout the summer and produced the first two weekends in October at the Nyquist School theatre in Isle. The musical will be directed by Mary Rains; vocal directors are Susan Bracken and Melodie Lane; orchestral direction by Bob Statz. Auditions will be held on two different dates.

€Children: Girls who are entering second grade through seventh grade are needed to play Annie and the orphans. The audition will be held Thursday, May 29 at Nyquist Elementary in Isle at 7 p.m. Rehearsals will be throughout the summer, with a special acting/singing workshop scheduled. The girls should bring scheduling conflict/summer vacation information to auditions. Group auditions are easier for children to handle, but if you need to schedule a separate audition for a child, call 218-678-2289 or 320-676-3639.

€Adults: Women and men of all ages are needed for approximately 25 roles, which include major characters, minor characters and chorus parts. Auditions will be 7 p.m. Thursday, June 5 at Nyquist School theatre in Isle. Bring scheduling conflicts and vacation information to auditions. Those who cannot make this date may call 320-676-3639 to reschedule.

€Orchestral: If you can play an instrument well and have performance experience, come to the audition held for adults (see above). Bring your instrument with you. If you can¹t make this audition call 320-532-3873.

The June 5 audition is also open to high school juniors and seniors who have no fall sports conflicts.
