County 4-H clubs Share the Funı By TANA HAUGEN-BROWN The Garfield Climbers 4-H Club of the Milaca area took first place at the annual 4-H Share the Fun night held April 10, 2003 at the Milaca High School Dahlager Theater. Their fun and colorful skit, ³Hee Haw 4-H Style² was a parody of the once famous ³Hee Haw² TV program. They will advance to state competition at the Minnesota State Fair in August. Rum River Rascals 4-H Club of the Princeton area took second place with their musical skit ³Join 4-H.² They also won the award for Imaginative Costuming. The Brookside Buccaneers 4-H Club of the Milaca area took third place with their skit ³Old McDonald had a 4-H Project.² The OıNeil Eagles 4-H Club won the award for Most Original Act with their musical patriotic skit ³Let Freedom Ring.² Foreston Forgers 4-H Club won the special award for Creative Use of Scenery & Props for their skit ³4-H Island,² a take-off on the popular TV series ³Survivor.² Receiving an Honorable Mention with its original skit ³4-H Feud² was the Busy Bees 4-H Club of the Princeton area. Also receiving an honorable mention was the Onamia Kids 4-H Club for their skit ³How the Grinch Stole 4-H.² We also had three special ³4-H Rappers,² Ben Norton, Drew Pederson and Elliot Humphrey of the Rum River Rascals 4-H Club who performed a wonderful 4-H Rap! This yearıs Share the Fun emcees where Tim Braun and Rose Szenay of Princeton and Erica Ash and Jasen Webb of Milaca. The OıNeil Eagles, Busy Bees, Garfield Climbers, and Silver Lakers 4-H clubs planned and hosted the event.
