Christopher Kenneth Othoudt will be spending five years in prison for first degree manufacturing of meth. Following his five years, he¹ll be on conditional release for 30 months barring any violations of his release.

Othoudt was sentenced by Mille Lacs County District Judge Steven Ruble on Wednesday, April 23 - just three days before Othoudt¹s 25th birthday.

In March of 2002, Mille Lacs County Deputy Jim Osowski received information from an informant who told him of a stolen vehicle (a 1992 Saturn) from Milaca a month earlier. The informant said he had traded the stolen vehicle for an eightball of meth from Othoudt.

With an extensive amount of detailed information from the informant, along with additional information, the sheriff¹s office obtained a search warrant for Othoudt¹s home at 6638 30th Street in Princeton.

Officers from Mille Lacs County, the Isanti County Sheriff¹s Department and the Kanabec County Sheriff¹s Department executed the warrant.

Besides Othoudt, also in the home were Debra Jean Kline, 42, who lived at the residence, along with her then 17-year-old daughter, and Beau Bradley Krueger, 22, who was found sleeping near a Samurai-style sword.

Both Kline and her juvenile daughter had small baggies of meth in their possession.

Krueger and Othoudt both had outstanding warrants for their arrests.

Officers located meth, drug paraphernalia, various chemicals and items related to the manufacture of meth, including anhydrous in an unapproved container and a shotgun.

There were three meth labs in one of the bedrooms in the upstairs of the home.

They also identified approximately 200 items they believed to be stolen property, including the Saturn.

Originally, assistant county attorney Cory Tennison said Othoudt was looking at 72 months, however when the criminal history report on Othoudt was completed the sentence was increased to 90 months.

Othoudt was also convicted in Sherburne County in 1998 for a controlled substance crime in the fourth degree - possession with intent to sell.

Othoudt pleaded guilty and is credited with one year already served in the Mille Lacs County Jail. He is currently in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud.
