Milaca continues to roll

Milacašs girls golf team continued to roll in Rum River Conference competition as the Wolves won conference triangulars Tuesday, April 29 at Chisago Lakes and Thursday, May 2, at Foley.

Milaca won the meet at Chisago Lakes with a score of 185. Chisago Lakes placed second at 205 and St. Michael-Albertville was third at 232.

Sophomore Erin Rice led the Wolves and took medalist honors with a 41 while sophomore Lacey Hoeck had a 44. Senior Kelly Doty shot a 48, junior Katie Mickelson had a 52, sophomore Amy DeBoer finished at 64 and ninth grader Megan Sahlstrom had a 67 score.

Milaca also won the junior varsity meet as junior Laura Rahm had a 62 and senior Alicia DeBoer shot a 72.

At Foley, Milaca placed first with a score of 193. Foley was second at 198 and Princeton was third at 291.

Rice led the Wolves with a 42 while Hoeck had a 49, Doty scored a 50 and Mickelson had a 52. Amy DeBoer had a 59 total and Rahm had a score of 60.

Rice won medalist honors.

Sahlstromšs 65 led Milacašs junior varsity. Senior Amanda Valo had a 69 total.

Milaca hosts an 18-hole Rum River Conference meet today (Thursday) at the Milaca Golf Club. The Wolves are at Foley Monday at 4 p.m. then travel to the sub-section meet Wednesday, May 21, at Pebble Creek at Becker.
