Peewee Reese team tips Anoka The Milaca Peewee Reese (12-and-under) Tier 1 baseball team will open play in the state tournament Saturday at Monticello. The double elimination tournament continues through Wednesday, July 16. Milaca, which finished the regular season with an 11-7 record, is the No. 2 seeded team from the Eastern Division. Milaca closed regular season play by edging Anoka 10-8 Tuesday, July 1, at Pease. The game was a make-up from an earlier contest that was postponed by rain. It was picked up July 1 with Anoka holding a 4-0 lead after its first at bat. Milaca rallied back with solo runs in the first and second innings, four runs in the third and four runs in the fifth inning. Ryan VanSomeren had three hits for Milaca while Elliot Hass and Tate Rusk had two hits each. Jared Sikkink, Alex Hass, Jon Vander Hoek, Tyler Norrgard, Brandon Sundberg, Travis Hanenburg and Chris Rau each added one hit. Alex Hass, Norrgard and VanSomeren combined to pitch the win.
