Ann Anderson
Burial was Wednesday, July 2 at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Ann died Saturday, June 28, 2003 at her residence. She was born July 5, 1954 to Wesley and Shirley (Johnson) Torkelson in Henning, Minn. She lived in Milaca for 15 years and Mountain Iron for the past 10 years. Ann married Jerry Anderson Nov. 29, 1980 in Henning. She worked in customer service and real estate for a bank in Moorhead, as an executive secretary for an abstract company in Clay County, a manager of Izatys Resort on Mille Lacs Lake, a real estate agent and an assistant manager of Ruttgers on Bay Lake in Deerwood, Minn. Ann was a partner in ownership of Tri-City Dairy Queens. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church; she sang, played guitar and accordian. Ann loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and being in the woods. She was a crafty person, and was often the church decorator. Ann is survived by her husband, Jerry; children, Ed Anderson of Virginia, Amy (Kevin) Paxton of Milaca, and Wally Anderson of Cambridge; parents, Wesley and Shirley Torkelson of Henning; grandchildren, Michael, Miles, and Alexandria Paxton; brother, Steven (Pat) Torkelson of Henning; sister, Lora (Jason) Sutter of Greendale; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Maria and Sigval Johnson, and Rosie and Alice Torkelson.
