Faith Christian School is sponsoring a home and yard tour of seven area homes Saturday.

Resident homes include Bud and Carol Berg, Scott and Carmen Harms, Leroy and Carolyn Koppendrayer, Mark and Gina Oleen, Joe and Deb Sahlstrom, Paul and Carol Sahlstrom and Steve and Carol Wilken.

The fund-raising event begins at 1 p.m. and continues until 5 p.m.

The Berg home is a 20-year-old rambler thatıs nestled within pine trees. The couple redecorated three years ago, adding a four season porch with a spa. And gardens are among the lighted pines.

The Bergs live three miles east of Milaca off Highway 23 at 14884 80th Avenue.

The Harms family live in a split level home near Foreston. They have done some remodeling to their rec room and an office. A rock garden can be found in the back yard, while a flower garden adorns the front yard.

The residence is located on County Road 18 south off Highway 23 at 11824 150th Avenue.

The Koppendrayers welcome guests to their farm near Long Siding with its water falls, pond, stream, flower gardens and gazebo. All are made from material left over from their dairy farm and lagoon.

The Koppendrayers live two miles west of Long Siding at 6234 Davenport Road.

At the Oleen residence, west of Pease, youıll find this four bedroom, three bath rambler has custom cabinets, a fireplace, and a three season porch.

The Oleens live west of Pease at 12353 105th Street.

Joe and Deb Sahlstromıs home was built in the late 1920s and was moved to its present location south of Milaca seven years ago. Their home features hardwood floors as well as the original woodwork.

Paul and Carol Sahlstrom live on the original farmstead that was built in 1920. In the past 35 years, the Sahlstroms have made two additions. The kitchen was done in the 1970s while the A-frame addition, which is done in knotty pine, was completed in 1980. This unique room with its stone chimney is where Carol has her porcelain doll collection.

The Sahlstrom families live near each other at 13258 120th Street and 13254 120th Street, respectively.

The Wilkens have spent 25 years creating their back yard which features a pond with bridges, fountains, flowers and numerous decorations.

Their home is located at 13012 West Highway 23, Milaca.

Tickets for the home and yard tour can be purchased for $5 from the residents on the tour, as well as Alfred Olson Co., Hobnettiıs Pizza and Milaca Depot Floral.
