Earl Stevenson Jr.
Burial will be in Bellwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are Earlšs grandchildren, David Rosenberg, Jay Wiedewitsch, Josh Wiedewitsch, Jessie Wiedewitsch, Taylor Stevenson and Kate Stevenson. Earl died Sunday, July 27, 2003 at his home. Arrangements are with the Williams-Hanson-Kaun Funeral Home in Princeton. Earl Eugene Stevenson Jr. was born Oct. 5, 1926 in Minneapolis to Earl and Mary (Peterson) Stevenson. He was the eldest of seven children. He grew up and attended school in Blue Hill Township and Princeton High School. Earl served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Alvera Hansen Oct. 12, 1946 in Santiago, Minn. at Our Savioršs Lutheran Church. The couple resided on a farm near Zimmerman. Earl was employed as a truck driver as well as farming his land. He drove for Anderson Aggregate for 12 years. He spent the last 20 years of his trucking career at Elk River Ready Mix Company until retiring in 1988. Earl was a lifetime member of the DAV, VFW and also a member of the American Legion in good standing for many years. He was a charter member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his children. He loved spending time with both his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Earl is survived by his wife, Alvera of rural Zimmerman; two daughters, Wilma Rosenburg and husband Ken and Teresa Wiedewitsch and husband Dave, all of Milaca; son, Chet Stevenson of Brainerd; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Betty Jenson of Princeton, Martin Stevenson and wife Anne of Merrifield, Minn., Murial Wiedewitsch of Princeton, Dale Stevenson of Princeton, Annie Brodeson and husband Jon of Princeton and Connie Pasche and husband Fred of Zimmerman; and many other relatives.
