Teen dies in Isle accident

Seventeen-year-old Carly Page Bruske of Wahkon was killed Thursday, Jan. 30 in a car accident on Highway 27, near Isle.
Bruske was east bound when she lost control of her car, a 1995 Plymouth two-door, on the icy road and was hit broadside by another vehicle.
The second vehicle, a 1983 Dodge pickup, was driven by Carl Edward Miller, 66, of Isle, who was west bound on Highway 27.
The Brainerd State Patrol arrived on the scene at 9:25 a.m. where they found Bruske, who had been thrown from the vehicle. She died at the scene.
Both Bruske and Miller were wearing seat belts when the accident occurred.
Miller was taken to Mille Lacs Health System in Onamia, where he was treated and released later that day.
