Lois Anderson
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Feb. 8, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Onamia with the Rev. Chris Hill officiating. Burial was in the Foster Cemetery in Cove. Arrangements were with the Shelley Funeral Chapel of Onamia. Lois is survived by her husband Charles; sons, Scott (Alice) Anderson of Zimmerman and Tom Anderson of Shoreview; daughters, Julie (Tom) Eiesland of Brainerd and Lisa Strelow of Brainerd; brothers, Robert (Janet) Johnson of Milaca, Curt (Dana) Johnson of Danbury, Wis., and Paul (Pat) Johnson of Osakis; sisters, Joan (Ted) VanGrinsven of Cold Spring, Joyce (Edward) Bouma of Milaca, Dean (John) Fransen of Milaca and Shirley (Harris) Santema of Milaca; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Anna; brothers, Bill and Jerome; sister, Ethelynne and son-in-law, William Strelow. Lois was born on Dec. 28, 1935, in Milaca to Carl and Anna (Ingman) Johnson. She attended and graduated from Milaca High School with the class of 1954. Lois married Charles Anderson on July 26, 1958 in Milaca. Lois and Charles lived in the Onamia area where Charles and his brothers operated the Anderson Brothers Garage and Lois worked at the elementary school as a library aide. Lois' life was devoted to her family and friends. She loved attending her families activities and events to cheer them on. Lois enjoyed yearly family vacations, current events, flower and vegetable gardening, canning, bird watching and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Her smile and her positive and compassionate attitude and the way she made her family feel special will be missed. ©Mille Lacs County Times |
