Viola Johnson Aland

Memorial services for Viola Johnson Aland, 93, were held Feb. 8, 2003 in the chapel of the Cremation Society of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

She died Jan. 29, 2003 at the Ridgewood Apartments in New Hope, Minn.

Viola was born April 13, 1909 in Milo Township to Nels and Cora (Atkinson) Johnson. She married Orval Aland on Jan. 19, 1941 in Minneapolis. They resided in Crystal until 1997 when they moved to the Ridgewood Apartments in New Hope. She was a charter member of the Robbinsdale Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orval; her parents; one brother and two sisters.

Viola is survived by two sisters, Dolores Hall and Beatrice (Leslie) Lunn, both of Milaca.
