Milton Berglund
He was born Aug. 5, 1914 in Brantwood, Wis., to John Emil and Rose Marie (Bachman) Berglund. On Sept. 2, 1940 Milton married Dorothy Ann Elizabeth Johnson. Dorothy died May 20, 1968. Milton was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in World War II. After his military service he worked for Production Credit Association in Redwood Falls and then in Morris. On June 6, 1969, Milton married Gladys (Schwarm) Radtke. They made their home in Morris until his retirement in 1977, then moved to their current home on Elm Island Lake in Aitkin County. Milton is survived by his wife, Gladys; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Lansing (Jenny) Berglund of Milaca; grandchild, Marlaina (Chuck) Kline of Faribault; three step-grandchildren, Deborah (Robert) Larkowski of Aitkin, David (Mary) Radtke of Buffalo and Dean (Deborah) Radtke of Aitkin; many great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth Christians of Wayzata; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Ann Elizabeth (Johnson) Berglund; sister, Verna; step-son, Dennis Radtke; and his parents. Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 6, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aitkin with the Rev. Jason Talsness officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery. Arrangements were by Sorenson-Root-Thompson Funeral Home, Aitkin.
