Wolves head to section meet

Milacaís girls swimmers will be competing at the Section 4A Girls Swimming and Diving Meet Friday at St. Cloud Tech.

The meet began with preliminaries in the swimming events Wednesday. On Friday, diving preliminaries will start at 4 p.m., with the finals in all events starting at 7 p.m.

The top two finishers in swimming events, including relays, will advance to the state meet Nov. 14-15-16 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.

"Weíve had some good practices since the conference meet and we feel good heading into the section," said Milaca Coach Joe Wildman.

Milaca placed second behind Chisago Lakes at the Rum River Conference Meet Oct. 26 at Milaca.

"Chisago Lakesí strength in diving will be tough for other teams to overcome at the section," said Wildman.

Other teams in 4A include Princeton, Proctor-Hermantown, Sauk Rapids, Ogilvie, Foley, Duluth Denfeld, Duluth Central, Two Harbors and Cloquet-Esko-Carlton.
