Daniel Hallin Funeral services for Daniel Ray Hallin, 45, were held Monday, Nov. 4 at the Peterson-Johnson Funeral home in Milaca with the Rev. Nels Eggen officiating. He was born June 10, 1957 in Mineapolis to Donald and Mabel (Foster) Hallin. The family moved to Savage where Daniel attended elementary school. The family moved to Andover in 1969 where Daniel graduated from Anoka High School in 1975. Daniel took mechanical training at Anoka Technical School. He married Rebecca Draeger May 25, 1984. He worked as a machinist for Carlziess Corp. for seven years. The couple moved to Isanti and in 1990 Daniel became disabled. In 1997 they moved to Mora. Daniel enjoyed fishing, hunting and making furniture out of diamond willow. He is survived by wife, Rebecca; sons, William Crawford and girlfriend Sara of Mora and Donald Hallin of Minneapolis; daughter, Carissa and husband Derrick Sima of Mora; granddaughter, Nevaeh Sima; mother, Mabel Foster of Andover; sisters, Carmine Palm and husband Dan of Rockford and Joanie Gibbons and husband Tom of Rush City; and brothers, Marvin Hallin and wife Shareen of Aitkin, Nels Hallin and wife Vicki of Bock and Tony Oftedahl and wife Andrea of Bock. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald; step-father, Garry Oftedahl; and son, Michael.
