How do you cook a turkey?

"Pull off the feathers and put in stuffing and cook it and eat it," Samuel Carpenter, age 5.
"You put the turkey in the oven, in a pan, and put a timer on it that goes, ëtick,í" Dray Thomas-Ferry, age 6.
"Put it in the oven. Maybe Dad can cook it. Maybe Dad can cook it in that barrel thing and put it on that pointie thing and put it in that stuff," Gavin Mickelson, age 5.
"Take out guts, put in oven, cook 10 minutes at 83 degrees," Ashlee Helseth.
"You shoot a turkey and take it home. Put it on a tray and cook it. Take it out of the oven and go to the Dairy Queen," Beau Lepper, age 6.
"First you catch it, then roast it, then cut it and eat it," Sam Razink, age 5.
"Roast it. Put it in the oven for 100 hours and it will burn up. Put water on it," Anthony T. Kern.
"In the oven or you put it on a stick and roast it by the fire," Alexandra Ploeger.
"You smoke it in a smokehouse," Samantha Dullinger, age 6.
"Put it in a pan and put it on top of the stove, because if you put it in the oven it will burn. Then you eat it!" Tanner Haw, age 6.
"Put it on a grill and turn the grill up high," Keely Detwiler, age 6.
"I think you put some taste on it. And then you put a little bit of sugar on it to make it taste good. Then put in the oven at 90 degrees to make it be hot," Savannah Fairfield, age 6.
"Put him in a pot and turn on the oven, then you stuff him with the heart and gizzard and liver, onions, salt and pepper and cook for eight hours on 80 degrees. He will be done when burnt," Hunter Noor, age 6.

Why do we celebrate Thanksgiving?

"All of the family can celebrate and eat together," Dustin Larsen, age 6.
"Because we are thankful for people. Because we need a big meal," Aaron Kenning, age 5.
"Because I donít know. I think they celebrate our grandmas and grandpas, aunts, uncles, mothers, fathers, children, our cousins, baby cousins and our friends and family," Anthony T. Kern.
"My mom cooks pizza, turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy. My grandma Avis comes over to help us eat the food. We sit and watch TV because we are so full," Cody Baker, age 5.
"Because we love everybody," Jacob Horvath.
"We go to grammaís house. We eat turkey, succotash, potatoes, salad and green eggs and ham. My favorite is pumpkin pie for dessert. It is a special time because we are all together," Lauren Riley, age 5.
"Because the guys with the tall hats made Thanksgiving, by killing turkeys with the Indians," Jesa Spry.
"We eat and give stuff. Thanks means hug. Giving means give to others," Christopher Amundson, age 6.
"Because itís really a nice week - everyone gets to see each other," Brittany Boltjes, age 5.
