Lillian Walton

Funeral services for Lillian Marie Walton, 84, were held on Monday, Nov. 18, at St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Ogilvie.

Burial followed at Borgholm Cemetery near Bock. Pallbearers included David Walton, Scott Walton, Todd Steffen, Clinton Steffen, Tim Voss and Bill Walton.

Arrangements were by the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca.

Lillian died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002 at the Grandview Christian Home in Cambridge.

She was born Aug. 24, 1918 to Herbert and Beda (Larson) Taylor in South Fork Township, Minn. She grew up in the area and attended Harrison School District 20 country school. She married Walter Walton Dec. 27, 1933 in Ogilvie. They made their home in rural Ogilvie and then moved to Pine City where they lived until 1948, when they moved back to Ogilvie.

She was a long-time member of the St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Ogilvie, where she was active in the quilting group. She was also a great cook, enjoyed decorating wedding cakes and loved to play cribbage.

She is survived by her children, Marjorie "Mitzi" and husband Robert Steffen of Ogilvie, Kathryn Voss of Milaca, Myron "Mike" and wife Jeanine of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Dennis and wife Bonnie of Renton, Wash.; son-in-law, Elvin Wilson of Milaca; 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Howard; son, Gerald; daughter, Patricia; and one infant daughter.
