Nov. 11, 1992
ïRandy Furman defeated Tim Pearson 590-520 in a sometimes heated race for mayor of Milaca in last weekís general election. Norris Johnson and Evelyn Oss won city council posts. Don Timmer, Linda Secord and Ron Rinkel were elected to the Milaca School Board in a race that featured 11 candidates. While not incumbents, Timmer and Rinkel had previously served on the board while Secord will be serving her first term. Joe Anderson was the lone incumbent running and he finished seventh.
ïDan Stevens (R) of Mora defeated 10-year state senator Chuck Davis (DFL) of Princeton in the race for Senate District 17. LeRoy Koppendrayer (R) of Princeton topped Joel Kennedy (DFL) of Mora in the House District 17A race.
ïAnn Kern has been hired as principal at the Milaca Elementary School and will begin work Nov. 18.

ïRichard "Dick" Swanson and Maurice "Ike" Erickson were elected to the Milaca City Council in the general election. A Sunday Liquor Referendum, which would have allowed Sunday liquor sales in Milaca, was voted down 537-477. Russ Iverson defeated Mike Ramstad and write-in candidate Lonnie Palmer in the race for Mille Lacs County Sheriff while Paul Reiman defeated C.R. Nielsen in the race for District 3 county commissioner.
ïDonations at the Keith Clinic in Milaca resulted in 14-year-old Phil DeBoer getting a new bicycle. DeBoer had a new bike stolen earlier this fall. Keith Clinic receptionist Lorraine Banks was behind the drive to get DeBoerís bicycle replaced.

ïJohn Dahlstrom and Adolph Johnson were elected to posts on the Milaca Village Council in the general election. Jake Koppendrayer (District 1), John McBroom (District 3) and Walter Habeck (District 5) were elected to Mille Lacs County commissioner posts.

Nov. 8, 1962
ïAl Wilhelm defeated Bruce Milton in the race for Mille Lacs County Sheriff in the general election Nov. 6. Thomas Nelson was re-elected county commissioner in District 2, defeating Martin Ortquist, and Bernard Swiderski was re-elected commissioner in District 4, topping Ray Cash. David C. Dahlstrom topped Russ Hill for a post on the Milaca Village Council and Alvin Strating topped Lawrence Skogman in the race for village clerk.
ïWalter Mondale (DFL) defeated Robert Kunzig (R) in the race for Minnesota Attorney General in Tuesdayís election. The election for Minnesota governor between Elmer Andersen (R) and Karl Rolvaag (DFL) was so close that a recount is scheduled. Andersen is incumbent governor.
