Training offered for 4-H fair judges There will be a 4-H county fair judgeís training on Tues., June 11, from 6-8 p.m. at the Hallett Public Library in Crosby. Participants will learn how to share skills and experience with youth by becoming a 4-H county fair judge or just learn what the judging process is. At this training participants will gain an understanding of and practice skills in conference judging; learn what to expect from youth at different levels of development; learn the criteria and standards used for determining ribbon placings and learn what to expect from the youthís posters and displays. They will also have the opportunity to be added to the judgeís list as potential judges for the future. The cost for the training is $8, which covers the cost of dinner and handouts.
